Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) stated that he will make a final decision on whether he will run for president as a third-party candidate in the next three months.
Manchin shared the major news during an interview on "Fox News Sunday" with Shannon Bream.

“Not this morning. Let me just say this. I’ll do it,” he responded. “I’m more concerned about the country right now. What you’ve seen the theatrics have played out yesterday. And up until yesterday. It’s ridiculous.”
“Well, I said before the end of the year, I will. We’re still planning. I mean, if something what you’re saying would happen, there is no primaries, you just go right into the foray," Manchin added.
Joe Manchin says if he runs for president he won’t be a spoiler.
He says “the math has the work”, citing 35% of the country as independents. Polls show Manchin would get less than half that—and would spoil race for Trump. pic.twitter.com/LKme1GuGWR

Manchin also left the door open for a run during a recent Texas Tribune event.
“My filing date isn't until January in West Virginia," Manchin said about filing to run for reelection as senator.
“We are in trouble and I’ve never been more concerned about the challenges we have,” he said.

“I’ve never been in any race I’ve ever spoiled. I’ve been in races to win. If I get in the race, I’m gonna win,” he said in June, quickly adding: “I haven’t made a decision.”
“I think people are getting ahead of it. Putting the cart ahead of the horse. We're here to make sure that the American people have an option and the option is can you move the political parties off their respective sides. They've gone too far right and too far left,” Manchin.
Manchin has long been opposed to many of President Joe Biden's policies despite serving as a fellow Democrat.
His views may now lead to the senator becoming a third-party spoiler who truly upsets the possibility for Biden to win by taking away votes from more moderate Democrats in 2024 in the potential rematch against former President Donald Trump.
