First Lady Jill Biden Attends Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2025 Runway Show in the Hamptons

Ralph Lauren celebrated his spring 2025 runway show Thursday night at the prestigious Khalily Stables in the Hamptons.

CNN reported that the 19-acre equestrian estate set the scene for an event that emphasized the designer's deep roots in American luxury fashion. Showcasing Ralph Lauren's long-standing ability to rival European luxury houses, the evening attracted a range of celebrity guests, including First Lady Jill Biden.

The star-studded event reinforced Ralph Lauren's leadership in American fashion, with First Lady Jill Biden's presence adding a touch of political significance to the glamorous evening.

Lauren's connection to the Hamptons goes back decades, making Khalily Stables a fitting location for the event. Guests were treated to cocktails, a runway presentation, and dinner at a recreated Polo Bar, offering them a full Ralph Lauren experience.

The brand ensured all 200 guests at each of the two shows were transported by private car or bus, highlighting the luxury associated with the Ralph Lauren name.

First Lady Jill Biden Among Notable Guests

First Lady Jill Biden, a long-time supporter of Ralph Lauren, was one of the key attendees of the evening. Her connection to the brand is well-known, as she has chosen Ralph Lauren designs for several important occasions, including Naomi Biden’s White House wedding and the Olympics. President Joe Biden also shares this preference, having worn a Ralph Lauren suit during his swearing-in ceremony in 2021.

Other notable attendees included stars such as Audra Day, Usher, Laura Dern, and Rufus Wainwright. Coleman Domingo, Cole Sprouse, and a host of other prominent figures from the worlds of music, film, and fashion added to the event’s glamour.

Ralph Lauren’s spring 2025 collection drew inspiration from the Hamptons' signature style, mixing maritime and equestrian themes.

The designs featured a sophisticated color palette of blues, crisp whites, and tans, reflecting the tranquil yet chic essence of the Hamptons lifestyle. Pieces ranged from casual to formal, with items for men, women, and children.

Highlighted items from the collection included a crochet bralette, a tan cardigan made from Tussah yarn, and a striking gown adorned with 200,000 hand-attached pearls. Lauren also presented an evening blazer intricately embroidered with 600,000 crystals. The new handbag, “The Ralph,” was introduced alongside Purple Label men’s looks and accessories from the Polo collection.

A Celebration of Ralph Lauren’s Legacy

Ralph Lauren’s deep connection to the Hamptons and the surrounding community was evident throughout the evening.

With multiple properties in the area since the 1970s, the designer’s influence and presence in the region remain strong. His ability to continuously innovate while staying true to his brand’s core identity has been a defining characteristic of his success.

“You’ve got to keep the story going,” said Lauren, underscoring his philosophy of balancing consistency with fresh, exciting ideas. This approach has helped Ralph Lauren navigate an industry known for its volatility.

Despite broader industry slowdowns, Ralph Lauren’s brand has continued to thrive. The company reported increased profits and revenues for the first quarter ending on June 29, further solidifying its position in the luxury fashion world. This financial success can be attributed to the brand's unwavering focus on maintaining a consistent image and high standards of quality.

Chief executive officer Patrice Louvet echoed this sentiment, stating, “In this industry that is so volatile, that has a number of different trends that come and go, what I think characterizes Ralph Lauren and the man and the company for the past 57 years now, is this clarity, consistency of who we are, what we stand for, what matters to us.”

The Event’s Conclusion at Polo Bar

After the runway show, guests were treated to an exclusive dinner at a recreated version of Lauren’s famous Polo Bar.

The evening came to a close with attendees enjoying a meal that encapsulated the brand’s trademark elegance and attention to detail.

The event highlighted Ralph Lauren's ability to craft not only a collection but also an immersive experience that reflects his vision of the American dream.

As Ralph Lauren himself put it, “Just like I did the ultimate California, this is the ultimate Hamptons, it’s the whole dreamworld.” This statement encapsulated the essence of the evening, which showcased Lauren’s unique ability to blend fantasy with reality, creating a fashion experience like no other.
