As journalists, we all make mistakes from time to time, but some mistakes are unforgivable.
For instance, there was the “kids in cages” narrative during Trump’s first term, when the media knew the images were from the Obama administration.
The media just tried to pull another fast one with EPA boss Lee Zeldin, but he was ready and called the network out, live on air, for all America to see.
In June, Trump signed three resolutions to dial back California regulations regarding EV sales and tailpipe emissions from gasoline-powered cars.
California had put a measure in place to block the sale of all vehicles except for EVs come 2035.
After signing the order, Trump stated, “We officially rescued the U.S. auto industry from destruction by terminating the California electric vehicle mandate once and for all.”
Governor Newsom immediately announced he would be litigating the order.
In July, the pushback against fossil fuels continued, as the Trump administration announced that it was going to challenge a finding from the EPA that dated back to 2009.
Under Trump, the EPA was arguing that it had overstepped its bounds, and it did not have the legal authority to regulate greenhouse gases.
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin stated, "With this proposal, the Trump EPA is proposing to end sixteen years of uncertainty for automakers and American consumers.”
Christy Goldfuss, executive director of the Natural Resources Defense Council, responded, "As Americans reel from deadly floods and heat waves, the Trump administration is trying to argue that the emissions turbocharging these disasters are not a threat.”
CNN was no match for Zeldin, trying to put him on the spot over the new EPA rules, only CNN was using images completely unrelated to the issue.
When Zeldin called out CNN on air, the anchor sat blank-faced, having been caught pushing a fake narrative.
Zeldin stated, Great to be on with you....All eight or so images that you just posted on the screen have nothing to do with this week's announcement.” Watch him dismantle the fake news narrative in the full segment below…

They have no clue how to tell the truth, and Zeldin just blew them out of the water, again, for pushing fake news. That was the energy equivalent of kids in cages. And that is why fewer people trust the mainstream media with every passing day.
