Trump says Hamas will be obliterated if it does not accept peace deal

This weekend, news broke that Donald Trump had reached a tentative deal to end the war between Hamas and Israel.

Israel jumped all over it, but Hamas was dragging its feet.

That led to Trump making a very aggressive statement that clearly has Hamas on the clock.

We Have a Deal

On Saturday, it seemed imminent that a peace deal was going to be signed.

Trump posted to Truth Social, "After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown to, and shared with, Hamas.

“When Hamas confirms, the Ceasefire will be IMMEDIATELY effective, the Hostages and Prisoner Exchange will begin, and we will create the conditions for the next phase of withdrawal, which will bring us close to the end of this 3,000 YEAR CATASTROPHE.”

Reports then came in that Israel was completely on board with the deal, but there was no word at all from Hamas.

Dragging Their Feet

Hamas was quickly put on the defensive by Israel after its initial attack, and Israel has made it clear that it would love to remove Hamas from the map if possible.

The terror organization is apparently hoping that public sentiment will favor them, with the far left in this country constantly railing against Israel.

When Trump announced this deal, the same thing happened, as Hamas was dragging its feet in terms of committing to the deal.

It did not take long for Trump to lose his patience, giving Hamas an ultimatum.

Obliteration

CNN’s Jake Tapper reached out to Trump via text to ask him what would happen to Hamas if it did not accept this deal.

Trump texted back, “Complete Obliteration!”

When Trump was asked if he thought Hamas was committed to peace, he said we would find out soon enough. But Tapper also noted that Hamas was expressing some issues with the peace deal, insisting on “no disarmament, keeping Gaza under Palestinian control and tying hostage release to negotiations.”

Even with Hamas dragging its feet, Trump seemed to be upbeat about the possible peace deal. Having said that, my impression is that Trump has made up his mind either way. If Hamas does not take this deal, he is going to give Israel the thumbs up to go full bore until Hamas is off the map… at least that is my impression.
