The survey by Rasmussen Reports revealed that 63% of respondents said they want Congress to probe the FBI over social media suppression.

"The finding in the new survey, sponsored by Miranda Devine, author of the book Laptop from Hell which deals with first son Hunter Biden’s scandal-laden computer, followed a week of revelations that the government convinced Twitter to censor posts about Biden and his critics," the Washington Examiner reported.
"Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, who is set to take over as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, voiced 'serious concerns about how and why tech companies suppress, silence, or reduce the reach of certain political speech and speakers,'" it added.

“Majorities of every political category — 52% of Democrats, 75% of Republicans, and 63% of unaffiliated voters — believe Congress should investigate whether the FBI was involved in censoring information on social media sites,” Rasmussen Reports noted.
"Only 22% oppose such an investigation, while 15% are undecided," the report added.

The outlet also noted that the overlap in the research showed 88% of voters who strongly disapprove of President Joe Biden think Congress should investigate the FBI.
The latest survey comes just days ahead of Republicans taking back power in the House where they are poised to launch multiple investigations against Democrats.
Among the areas that the party seeks to investigate include Hunter Biden, the president's son, whose laptop that was left behind at a computer repair shop documented many concerning events.
The messages include business deals that occurred while Joe Biden was vice president that appear to indicate multiple conflicts of interest.
The latest survey shows that most Americans want to know the real story of why the FBI claimed the laptop story was disinformation, with the campaign taking place just ahead of the 2020 presidential election that led to Biden becoming president and unseating Donald Trump.
