United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has restarted legal immigration to foreign nationals using welfare benefits.
The change reopens a rule that former President Donald Trump put in place to make it less likely for foreign nationals to secure green cards to stay in the country if they had previously used welfare programs.

"Almost immediately after taking office, Biden threw out the finalized public charge rule imposed by the Trump administration, blowing open the door for welfare-dependent legal immigration to the United States, for which American taxpayers will ultimately foot the bill," Breitbart News reported.
"Late last week, USCIS started imposing Biden’s public charge rule which specifies that foreign nationals with a history of welfare dependency will not be excluded from seeking green cards to permanently resettle in the United States," it added.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has taken border security into his own hands by launching Operation Lone Star.
"Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 336,000 migrant apprehensions and more than 23,000 criminal arrests, with more than 20,000 felony charges reported. In the fight against fentanyl, DPS has seized over 354 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this border mission," his office said in a Thursday update.
Texas has bused over 16,000 migrants to sanctuary cities, according to the report. The totals include over 9,000 migrants to Washington, D.C. since April 13, over 4,900 migrants to New York City since August 5, over 1,500 migrants to Chicago since August 31, and over 600 migrants to Philadelphia since November 15.
The efforts are helping, but are not enough without federal support to enforce border security.
The latest move by the Biden administration shows that Democrats are working to make it easier to enter and stay in the country illegally rather than protecting the American people.
