I am honestly not sure if Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has a home in his political party, or anywhere, to be honest.
He is clearly not on board with the far-left agenda, and he is too far left to be considered for the GOP, so where does that leave him?
After his latest comments, I think the Democrat Party is just as much done with him as he is done with them.
Dems started to get wary of Fetterman when he agreed to meet with Trump after the 2024 presidential election.
His recounting of the meeting surely did not help his case.
Fetterman was on “The View,” where he stated, “Overall, it was a positive experience. I mean, he was kind, he was cordial. It wasn’t in any kind of theater.
“It wasn’t trying to get your picture taken to kind of put something out on social media. It was just, really, a conversation. We actually spoke for over an hour.”
As most Democrats lined up against Israel and started accusing our ally of war crimes after the horrific October 7 attack, Fetterman went the other way.
He stated, “I’m not a progressive. I just think I’m a Democrat that is very committed to choice and other things.
“But with Israel, I’m going to be on the right side of that. And immigration is something near and dear to me, and I think we do have to effectively address it as well.”
Fetterman even started to mock liberal protesters, drawing the ire of many in the Democrat Party, which is when I believe he all but ended any hopes of winning a re-election campaign.
It seems clear to most that socialism is taking over among the up-and-comers in the Democrat Party, but Fetterman wants nothing to do with it, and he is not holding back.
On the subject, he stated, “I literally was in a former communist nation, and I asked that. I said, ‘Some people in my party, some of the lefties are talking about socialism now. What do you think?’ And he’s like, ‘That’s the worst thing ever. You would never want to live here, I’ve lived through that kind of a thing.
“You’re going to need a reality check if you ever adopt any of those things. You know, like, you are morons. It’s like, it was a nightmare for us, and now we are a free market nation.’ It was Croatia.”
When you consider that Democrats like AOC, Mamdani, and the Squad are being given the keys to the car, I am going to go out on a limb and say Fetterman’s days of having a “D” after his name are growing short.
