Donald Trump Jr. pays Kimberly Guilfoyle $7.6 million to buy out her share of Jupiter mansion

Donald Trump Jr. bought out his ex-fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle's stake in their six-bedroom Florida waterfront estate for $7.6 million, settling the property question more than a year after the couple split.

A warranty deed filed Monday in Palm Beach County transferred the Jupiter, Florida, home solely into Trump Jr.'s name. The deed shows the transfer date as July 25, and Guilfoyle's signature carried a stamp from the U.S. Embassy in Athens, where she now serves as U.S. Ambassador to Greece.

The 48-year-old eldest son of President Trump and the 57-year-old Guilfoyle purchased the 16,477-square-foot home together in 2021 for $9.7 million. The property sits in Admirals Cove, an exclusive neighborhood inside a private golf course community in Jupiter, and Palm Beach County records peg its 2025 market value at $13.6 million.

That means Guilfoyle walked away with roughly half the county's assessed value, $7.6 million, while Trump Jr. retained full ownership of a property that may be worth considerably more on the open market.

A $30 million listing price was floated before the buyout

The New York Post reported in June that Trump Jr. had been planning to list the home with an asking price starting at $30 million. The same report described "some back and forth" between Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. over the potential sale. Whether the buyout ends those plans or simply clears the way for a solo listing remains unclear. The home is not currently on the market.

The Palm Beach Post, which first reported the deed transfer, also noted in June that Trump Jr. may own an empty lot in the Prospect Park neighborhood of West Palm Beach, a possible site for a new family home.

Trump Jr. married Bettina Anderson, a 39-year-old Palm Beach socialite and influencer, in a private ceremony earlier this year. The two were first spotted holding hands shortly after President Trump's re-election in November 2024. The Trump family's real estate moves have long drawn public attention, and this transaction is no exception.

Guilfoyle signed the deed from Athens

Guilfoyle's embassy stamp on the deed underscores a clean break. She and Trump Jr. were together for roughly six years and engaged for about four of those before calling it off more than a year and a half ago. Since then, both have moved on, Guilfoyle to diplomatic life in Greece, Trump Jr. to a new marriage.

President Trump nominated Guilfoyle as ambassador after praising her background in law, media, and politics. "Her extensive experience and leadership in law, media, and politics along with her sharp intellect make her supremely qualified to represent the United States, and safeguard its interests abroad," Trump said on Truth Social. The Senate confirmation process for Trump nominees has been a focus of the current congressional session.

Guilfoyle told the New York Times earlier this year that she bore no ill will toward her ex.

"I'm happy for Don. I wish him, of course, all the best."

The couple also purchased a home together in the Hamptons, which they sold in 2021. The Jupiter property was their primary shared residence, and its disposition was the last major financial thread connecting them.

$7.6 million against a $13.6 million valuation raises questions

The gap between the $7.6 million buyout price and the county's $13.6 million assessed value, let alone the $30 million asking price floated in June, invites scrutiny. County assessments often trail actual market value in high-end coastal markets, which means the home could fetch well above $13.6 million in a sale. Whether the $7.6 million figure reflects a negotiated discount, a desire for a quick resolution, or other terms not visible in the public deed record is not clear from available filings.

What is clear: Trump Jr. bought in at $9.7 million in 2021 alongside Guilfoyle. He has now paid her $7.6 million for her half, bringing his total outlay to roughly $17.3 million for a property the county values at $13.6 million but that the New York Post suggested could list for $30 million. If that listing price holds, the deal looks like a sharp buy for Trump Jr. and a substantial, if perhaps below-market, payout for Guilfoyle.

High-profile splits inside political families tend to generate tabloid noise. Other Trump-aligned figures have navigated personal upheaval under public scrutiny, and the Trump Jr.-Guilfoyle split has been no different. But the deed filing suggests this particular chapter is closing on businesslike terms.

The 1.18-acre waterfront property features 11 bathrooms and a four-car garage, a scale of home that rarely changes hands quietly in Palm Beach County. Trump Jr. has not publicly stated whether he intends to keep the house, sell it, or build elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Guilfoyle is an ocean away, representing the United States in Athens. Other prominent political-family figures have found themselves making headlines from overseas for very different reasons. Guilfoyle, at least, leaves this transaction $7.6 million richer and with a diplomatic portfolio to show for her post-breakup chapter.

When personal business gets handled quietly, on paper, and through a county clerk's office, that is about as clean as a public breakup gets. Washington could learn something.
