On Friday, a judge in Wisconsin was arrested by the FBI for harboring an illegal immigrant.
The amusing aspect of all this is Democrats losing their minds over a judge being arrested while celebrating the arrest of a former president.
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was taken into custody and charged on Friday by the FBI.
She is facing obstruction charges after it was reported that she had shielded an illegal immigrant from ICE officers.
She is also facing concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest.
Agents from ICE, FBI, CBP, and the DEA had attempted to arrest undocumented Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz following a criminal court appearance, but Judge Dugan reportedly told the officers to wait in the chief judge’s office, then proceeded to have Flores-Ruiz taken through a restricted jury door to exit the building.
While it was okay to arrest a former president for allegedly breaking the law, Democrats are now going bonkers over the fact that a judge was arrested for obstruction. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) stated, “Make no mistake, we do not have kings in this country and we are a democracy governed by laws that everyone must abide by. By relentlessly attacking the judicial system, flouting court orders and arresting a sitting judge, this president is putting those basic democratic values that Wisconsinites hold dear on the line.
“While details of this exact case remain minimal, this action fits into the deeply concerning pattern of this president’s lawless behavior and undermining courts and Congress’s checks on his power.”
Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) added, “I do know that the only thing that has prevented us from falling into a constitutional crisis has been our judiciary. And Bondi’s assertion today and her arrest of Judge Dugan was a signal to the judiciary that you had better stay out of our way, because this authoritarian regime is going to continue doing what it’s doing.
“I just want to say one thing…this all happened on Good Friday. And I would say, as John Lewis, the late John Lewis would say, I’m glad that she got in good trouble on Good Friday.”
As Democrats were raging over the judge being arrested, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller decided to respond for President Trump.
Miller stated, “Democrats spent the last 8 years stripping Americans of due process to jail them for protected political activity; illegally spying on the Trump Campaign; manipulating and fabricating intelligence and then criminally leaking it for partisan gain; using the FBI and Intelligence apparatus to pursue political enemies; launching a coup against President Trump and his Administration; persecuting President Trump, his family, his aides and his supporters; censoring and deplatforming and blacklisting the opposition; removing opposition candidates from the ballot; maliciously fabricating false allegations to inflict outrageous financial punishments; raiding President Trump’s home and seizing his property; and weaponizing the entire legal system for the sole objective of incarcerating the Democrat Party’s chief political rival and seeking to illegally obstruct and rig the 2024 election.”
He then stated, “And now these same Democrats howl with rage when the invasion is returned and those who criminally harbor the invaders and feloniously obstruct their removal are held accountable under law.”
You literally cannot make this stuff up. Apparently, the rule of law only applies to conservatives in this country, as Democrats are making it quite clear that harboring a criminal by a Democrat should be legal. I would love to see Bondi and the DOJ put the pedal the metal on this one, and prosecute this judge to the full extend of the law.
