Whistleblower speaks out on CIA's treatment of key Hunter Biden witness

A disclosure made by a whistleblower has brought to light allegations that the CIA obstructed an IRS interview with Kevin Morris, a business associate of Hunter Biden, as revealed by the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees.

This report has rocked the Biden family, especially Joe and Jill Biden, who are in the midst of trying to win a presidential election and these allegations aren't helping anything.

In a letter addressed to CIA Director William Burns on Thursday, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, (R-OH), and Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) stated their intention to investigate these allegations within the framework of the impeachment inquiry against President Biden.

The claims

The whistleblower asserted that in August 2021, during preparations for an IRS interview with Morris concerning the federal investigation involving Hunter Biden, the CIA intervened to halt the interview.

This interference reportedly involved a briefing at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, where two Justice Department officials were summoned to discuss Morris's involvement.

According to the whistleblower's claims, Morris was deemed ineligible to act as a witness in the investigation, as conveyed by House Republicans.

The loans

Morris, who extended loans to Hunter Biden totaling over $6.5 million, provided testimony as part of the impeachment inquiry. During his testimony, Morris disclosed having loaned at least $5 million to Hunter Biden and began covering his tax obligations.

Specific loan figures were estimated during the interview, with a pledge to furnish precise amounts later. Subsequently, Morris's attorney revealed an additional $1.6 million provided to Hunter Biden.

The Committees have initiated an inquiry to ascertain whether President Biden abused his authority to impede or obstruct investigations or prosecutions pertaining to Hunter Biden.

This investigation draws upon assertions made by whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, former IRS investigators probing Hunter Biden, who alleged that DOJ officials accorded preferential treatment to him.

GOP demands

Jordan and Comer have demanded that the CIA furnish all relevant documents and communications pertaining to the DOJ and IRS investigations of Hunter Biden, along with records concerning Kevin Morris's involvement.

Concurrently, Hunter Biden faces federal tax charges filed by Special Counsel David Weiss, comprising three felonies and six misdemeanors related to $1.4 million in unpaid taxes. Hunter has entered a plea of not guilty to these charges and is concurrently contesting federal gun charges in Delaware.

These developments underscore the intensifying legal and political scrutiny surrounding Hunter Biden and his business activities, a focal point within broader debates concerning government transparency, accountability, and ethics.

As investigations unfold and legal proceedings progress, these matters are expected to remain a significant aspect of the national discourse, particularly within the context of ongoing political dynamics and partisan divisions.
