Months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and sent the issue of abortion laws back to the states, where it belongs, Democrats are still on the attack.
According to the Washington Examiner, Vice President Kamala Harris can't seem to let the issue go, though in all reality, she's simply beating the abortion drum to fearmonger Democrats into voting in November. Regardless, she took aim recently at SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas.
The comments came during a political event for her Chicago Democratic crony, Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
"Justice Clarence Thomas said the quiet part out loud," Harris said.
The veep added: "In the Dobbs decision, his piece of it was to say, basically, marriage equality is on the line, contraception is on the line. So see what is happening and what is at play here. See it clearly. We've got to hold on to our numbers in the House and the Senate, because without Democratic majorities in Congress, the writing on the wall seems to be pretty clear about what other rights they'll also come after."

Many have criticized Dems for using the narrative, as there's nothing that would indicate that marriage equality or contraception will be at stake. But it works wonders for scaring a shaky voting base into getting to the polls on Nov. 8.
Harris promised the audience that if Dems win two seats in the Senate, they can work to codify federal abortion rulings like Roe v. Wade.
"So our job is clear. And President Biden has been clear," Harris said. "He said he's not going to allow archaic Senate rules to stand in the way of protecting these two freedoms. So that's the job before us."
