Fox News reports that former President Donald Trump, during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday night, blasted President Joe Biden for the anti-MAGA speech he gave on Thursday.
In case you missed Biden's speech, here's some of what he had to say:
Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic. MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of the law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election.
After receiving some criticism - including from the leftwing Washington Post, among many others - Biden has attempted to walk back what he said here. But, it's one of those situations where the damage has already been done.
Trump has hit back in several ways, including during Saturday night's rally in Pennsylvania.
There, Trump said:
This week, Joe Biden came to Philadelphia to give the most vicious, hateful, and divisive speech ever delivered by an American president. Vilifying 75 million citizens, plus another probably 75 to 150 if we want to be accurate about it, as threats to democracy and enemies of the state. You’re all enemies of the state. He’s the enemy of the state if you want to know the truth.
Before this, Trump had responded to Biden's speech on social media.
Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! If he doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!
Trump also suggested that Biden's speech indicates that he may be "suffering from late-stage dementia."
"If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force," Trump said. "He must be insane, or suffering from late-stage dementia!"
