President Joe Biden (and his family) have taken a public relations beatdown regarding his willful ignoring of his seventh granddaughter, fathered by son Hunter Biden.
Apparently, the Bidens received the message, as for the first time on public record, they acknowledged the little girl's existence.
Notably, the acknowledgment of Navy Joan Roberts, 4, came via a statement sent to People Magazine.
Since the beginning of his presidency, Biden, nor anyone in his family, has mentioned the seventh granddaughter, with Biden always sticking to telling the press that he has "six" grandchildren.
"Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward," the Bidens' statement to People read.
"This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter," Biden's statement added. "Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy."
Clearly, it most certainly is a political issue, given that they're just now even mentioning her existence.
The Bidens were roasted across social media for not only just now claiming Navy as their granddaughter, but also in the way they chose to do it through the statement to People.
"Joe and Jill Biden’s rejection of their granddaughter for four years, while refusing to tell Hunter to grow up and take responsibility for his daughter, and now issuing an acknowledgment in People Magazine to get good PR says so much about who they are. Absolutely disgusting," Fox News host Katie Pavlich tweeted.

Fox News host Jesse Watters also weighed in on the development.

Many also criticized the president for attempting to present himself as a "family man" throughout his presidency, while literally ignoring his own blood-related family.
The fact is that President #Biden was shamed into acknowledging his granddaughter & only did it for #political purposes. It tells you everything you need to know about who he really is.
It’s not a personal matter when he is the one that presents himself as a family man. pic.twitter.com/jdMCGGZCCZ
