Tulsi Gabbard, a former House of Representatives member and Democrat from Hawaii, made headlines for her decision to defect from the Democratic Party, and the previous lawmaker and veteran of the United States military is once again sharing her frustration. 

Gabbard, who has been known for her outspoken nature, has not held back in expressing her dissatisfaction with her former colleagues, According to a report by The Daily Wire.

Specifically, she has criticized their relentless pursuit of former President Donald Trump, both while he was in office and since leaving the White House, leveling indictment after indictment at the former president.

Representative Tulsi Gabbard has made claims in a recently shared video on X, asserting that there is a problem within politics the likes of which could be damaging for the American way of life.

Gabbard argues that the ongoing prosecutions are part of a strategy by President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party to divert President Donald Trump's attention and hinder his chances of winning the presidency in 2024.

“The political prosecution of Trump is an obvious attempt by Biden/Dem elite to drain Trump’s attention and resources,” Gabbard captioned the clip.

“Their actions expose their utter contempt for democracy and the rule of law — and makes laughable all of their verbiage about ‘protecting democracies around the world.'”

“Anyone who’s looking at what’s happening with clear eyes and an open mind can recognize how overtly they are trying to keep President Trump off of the campaign trail, to keep him away from being able to make his case to voters in this country of why they should elect him as President and Commander in Chief once again,” the retired lawmaker went on.

The former Democrat and 2020 presidential candidate didn't hold back, shouting down members of the leftist party, ensuring that her version of a sane voice was heard on the issue of the former president.

“They’re afraid that he actually could win, which is why they’re committing this such egregious abuse of power that cuts so much deeper than just going after President Trump,” she continued.

“What they’re really doing is setting this precedent that puts the United States of America not on a high platform of trying to be an example of democracy to the world, but of reducing our great country to none other than a banana republic and an abuse of power that we see happening in other countries around the world.”

Gabbard has been outspoken in her criticism of President Joe Biden and other members of her previous party for adopting policies and practices that run counter to constitutional ideals such as free speech and expression and aim to utilize the power of the government to punish their political opposition.

Gabbard and a number of Republicans have all stood up for the former president, asserting that Democrats have treated him unfairly, even holding a double standard for what the current president and former president are allowed to do while in office.
