Throughout this war between Israel and Hamas, there have been very strong opinions about Gaza, including from this writer.
Trump reportedly recently told Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that they need to be “good” to Gaza, and I am not sure how that will sit with the MAGA faithful.
When Donald Trump first started talking about the rebuilding of Gaza after the war, he stated that he wanted to move Palestinians out of the area during the rebuilding.
Trump wanted the United States to have “authority” over the Gaza Strip, saying, “We’re not going to buy anything. We’re going to have it,” adding that he would “make it exciting.”
The media took Trump’s words and twisted them to mean that Trump did not want Palestinians back in the area, but Trump had never said that.
What he stated was that while the rebuild was going on, people should leave the area so they could undertake the massive rebuild, then allow the people to return.
Trump has reportedly been trying to work out a deal with Iran regarding its nuclear weapons, which I am not a big fan of, to be honest.
You cannot trust Iran, as we have found out many times over, so I am more along the lines of Senator John Fetterman’s (D-PA) belief that our primary negotiating tool should be 30,000-pound bombs.
Prime Minister Netanyahu also chimed in on this, saying that a “real deal that works” would dismantle Iran’s nuclear program, adding, “Anything short of that could bring you the opposite result.”
I agree completely, as Trump needs to stand tall here and apply pressure. If they don’t end their program, then he needs to take appropriate actions.
From my perspective, since Palestine and the people of Gaza did nothing to help Israel defeat Hamas, they are complicit, which would make Palestine a terror state, so why would we ever give aid to a terror state?
Trump is flipping on this, telling Netanyahu, “Those people are suffering,” adding that he wanted aid delivered because there is a huge need for food and medicine in the area. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn’t Hamas rule Gaza? So would that not be their responsibility?
Some may call this cruel, but I disagree. If you side with terrorists, you deserve the same treatment, especially with reports showing that much of the aid that has already been given has wound up in the wrong hands.
If Gaza and Palestine want our help, then they need to step up and help Israel defeat Hamas instead of protecting these terrorists. That may seem heartless to some, but how else can they possibly be perceived? And I don’t know about you, but I am sick of finding out after the fact aid paid for with our taxpayer dollars wound up in terrorist hands.
