Trump says Harris paid for her endorsements

Donald Trump appears ready to ride the wave of his big win against Paramount by continuing to go after Kamala Harris.

Harris was handed a billion-dollar war chest with only three months to use it, and somehow, she did, and more. Now, Trump is accusing her and some of her biggest supporters of having done so illegally.

Oprah and Beyonce

Some of the biggest checks written by the Kamala Harris campaign were to entertainers, especially Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey.

Winfrey’s production company was paid more than $1 million for an event that was held for Harris, but Winfrey claimed she never personally made a penny. It is as if she does not think we know the money from Harpo Productions eventually winds up in her pocket.

Trump claimed that Harris also paid Beyonce $11 million to walk on stage and endorse her, but there is no paper trail to prove that allegation.

The only payment to Beyoncé listed in the campaign’s financials was a $165,000 payment to Parkwood Production Media, the production company known as Parkwood Entertainment that Beyoncé founded in 2008. That money was tagged as having been paid for a campaign event, which would coincide with the rally held by Harris in Houston.

Blowing all that money

During the final stretch run of the election, the Harris campaign spent an astonishing $277 million, reportedly leaving the campaign in debt after the election.

During that same timeframe, the Trump campaign spent only $113 million.

Some of the big checks for Harris, outside of the ridiculous fees she paid to entertainers, were for text-messaging outreach.

According to financials, Harris spent $25.4 million on that alone, and another $3 million for SMS advertising. As we expected, the majority of the money went on entertainment, having spent more than $45.5 million.

Prosecute her

Trump has been hammering this issue for some time, and he came out firing again on Truth Social.

The president posted, “I’m looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election. These ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO.”

Trump then added, “Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note, and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!), Three Million Dollars for ‘expenses,’ to Oprah, Six Hundred Thousand Dollars to very low rated TV ‘anchor,’ Al Sharpton (a total lightweight!), and others.”

I am not sure where Trump is getting his numbers from, but he is way off, based on the financial reports that I have seen. His point is well taken, though. This is perhaps something that should be looked at to limit spending for these high-priced entertainers who can be paid off in the form of entertainment expenses.
