President Joe Biden has seen increased criticism regarding his age and ability to run for, let alone complete, a second term in the White House.
Former President Donald Trump was asked about the situation, which has become quite the problem for the Democratic Party.
Given Trump is only three years Biden's junior, he was careful regarding the age subject, given that there have been growing calls for age limits for elected officials.
According to Breitbart, Trump made clear that he doesn't believe its Biden's age, necessarily, that makes him a bad president, but rather it's the fact that he's "grossly incompetent."
Trump's thoughts on the matter came during a recent interview with Megyn Kelly. While his thoughts on the situation make logical sense, it took some by surprise.

The 77-year-old former president, who has issued repeated calls for Biden to take a cognitive test and reveal the results to the public, essentially said it's not the age that matters, it's the ability -- or lack thereof -- to do the job.
"No, not for the reason of old, because I have many friends who are in their 80s," Trump said, adding that some of his friends over 90 are "sharp as a tack."
Trump doubled down, saying what many are likely thinking these days as Biden continues to stumble through his day looking perpetually tired and confused.
"No, not old, he’s incompetent. He’s not too old. He’s incompetent," Trump said of Biden. "And age is interesting, because some people are very sharp and some people do lose it, but you lose it at 40 and 50 also. But no, he’s not too old at all. He’s grossly incompetent."
"You look at some of the great world leaders. They were in their 80s. And they did — I mean, Churchill, so many people. They were phenomenal in their 80s. You know, there’s a great wisdom, if you’re not in a position like him," Trump added.
A recent survey showed that most Americans believe there should be a hard age limit on the presidency and for running for Congress.

The former president makes a solid point, in that age is still just a number. It's simply a matter of if a person is mentally sharp enough to do the job or not.
