Trump promises "the largest domestic deportation operation" if he is elected

Former President Donald Trump promised America would see "the largest domestic deportation operation in American history" if he wins the presidency in 2024, Breitbart reported. The former president told this to a crowd in Dubuque, Iowa, during a speech Wednesday.

"One of the most important issues in this campaign is ending the nation-wrecking catastrophe on our southern border," Trump said in his prepared speech. “Under my leadership, we had the most secure border in U.S. history," the former president added.

"Now, we have the worst border in the history of the world," he asserted. Trump called the influx of illegal immigrants under President Joe Biden an "invasion."

The former president believes he's the "only candidate in this race who will stop it cold on DAY ONE," Trump claimed. "A vote for President Trump means Joe Biden’s horror show at the southern border ends at high noon on Inauguration Day, 2025," he added.

"Upon my inauguration, I will immediately terminate every Open Borders policy of the Biden administration. Following the Eisenhower Model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American History," Trump said.

This is not the first time Trump has compared himself to former President Dwight Eisenhower. During the 2016 presidential election, Trump likened his philosophy on border security to the way that Eisenhower handled it.

"People liked him. I liked Ike. [That’s the] expression," Trump said in November 2015.

‘I Like Ike.’ Moved a million and a half illegal immigrants out of this country, moved them just beyond the border: They came back," he said.

"Moved them again, beyond the border: They came back. Then moved them way south. They never came back," Trump added.

In 1954, Eisenhower implemented the largest deportation effort in the nation's history up until that time, according to the History Channel. Insensitively dubbed "Operation Wetback," the effort nevertheless moved as many as 1.3 million illegal immigrants out of the U.S.

Trump's promise comes at a time when illegal immigration is surging to record highs with no plans on making it stop. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) believes as many as 17 million illegal immigrants inhabit the U.S., thanks to years of unchecked immigration.

The analysis states that there has been "an increase of 2.3 million illegal aliens since Biden took office in January 2021 and an increase of 1.3 million illegal aliens since the same time last year."  This comes at a cost to American taxpayers of $163 billion annually.

The problem is getting worse as Border Patrol has seen a significant and rapid increase just this month, Fox News reported. Although it has failed to reach the high of 10,000 encounters per day set back in May, there were 7,500 encounters with illegal immigrants just on Sunday.

Something must be done about the thousands of unvetted people crossing the border into America every day. Democrats have no will for it, and Trump is the only Republican who will take the slings and arrows and cries of racism to get it done.
