It did not take Donald Trump very long to make his move against the riots in LA pushing back against Trump’s immigration policies.
Now Dems are blaming Trump for the escalation of tension, but that tension was clearly present before Trump ever got involved.
The Trump administration wasted no time using the same rhetoric Democrats used during the January 6 riot to describe the rioting that was taking place regarding the immigration agenda of the administration.
For instance, White House adviser Stephen Miller stated, “This is a violent insurrection.”
Insurrection is a dangerous word, and I believe this is an insurrection about as much as I believe January 6 was an insurrection, which is not at all. It is a riot, period, but I 100% agree that the uprising needed to be put down ASAP.
To that point, Trump approved 2,000 National Guard members to be deployed to assist state authorities in getting the situation under control.
Democrats, as usual, did not want to bring a lot of attention to the riots for the narrative that would explode. And, as usual, the media bit to explain that these were, once again, mostly peaceful protests.
Sections of LA and Compton were literally on fire as Democrats pretended that they had everything under control.
Border Czar Tom Homan disagreed, stating, “Someone is going to lose their life.”
Homan further stated that California Governor Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass could wind up facing charges for how they have handled, or rather not handled, these riots. I have not yet seen any deaths reported, but there has been significant property loss, and if this is allowed to continue, loss of life is merely a matter of time. I would not be surprised in the least if someone decides to file suit, or if charges are eventually brought against them.
Democrats putting the riots on the bad orange man was as certain as the sun coming up in the morning, and it just happened. Dems are saying that Trump’s response to call in the National Guard only made things worse, not better, even though the streets were already on fire.
For example, Governor Newsom stated, “The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles—not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle.”
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) added, "We have a President who is moving this country rapidly into authoritarianism. My understanding is—the Governor of California, the Mayor of the city of Los Angeles, did not request the National Guard, but he thinks he has a right to do anything he wants. I would say, that to a large degree, the future of this country rests with a small number of Republicans in the House and Senate who know better.”
With how Democrats usually respond, if I were an adviser for Donald Trump, I would tell him to offer help if needed, then let Democrats make the call. If they want to see their cities lit on fire, so be it. Maybe that will wake people up that Democrats care more about illegals, criminals, and thugs than they do about legal residents and American citizens.
