Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has ushered in a new era of politics.
She had made it fashionable to go on radio, TV, and podcasts with profanity-laced rants about her opposition.
While it has likely cost her a leadership position, she continues to fire away, but now Trump is calling her out.
Crockett has been celebrated in the media as the future of the Democrat Party, which is sad.
She is a self-admitted obstructionist, has no inclination to actually pass legislation, and her current persona is completely invented… she is a fraud.
Crockett tried to test the waters by putting her name in the hat to be the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, but leadership chose to back a fossil instead, leaving her, like AOC, on the outside looking in.
She was clearly bitter, stating, "It was clear by the numbers that my style of leadership is not exactly what they were looking for, and so I didn't think that it was fair for me to then push forward and try to rebuke that.”
This weekend, Crocket was at an event on Sunday called “MoveOn.”
Once again, Crockett hit Trump, stating, “Listen, Donald Trump is a piece of sh**, we know that. He is. But in a functioning democracy, he still would not be able to get away with this.
“But he’s been able to get away with this because the House Republicans are complicit. He’s been able to get away with this because Senate Republicans are complicit. But most importantly, the courts, especially the Supreme Court, is complicit.”
One, we are a constitutional republic, not a democracy, so get that straight. Second, can you imagine the outrage if a member of the GOP said something like that about Barack Obama when he was in office? That individual would have been removed from Congress before the morning headline hit.
We all know Trump would not let a comment like that go without a response, and he did not disappoint.
Trump went back to his usual venom, stating, "I won the election in a landslide. And obviously that’s only, you know, we’re only six months in, but my poll numbers are better now, much better than during the election.
“Part of that is because the Democrat Party is self-destructing. I mean, when you have low IQ, people like Crockett, I wonder if she’s any relation to the late, great Davy Crockett, who is a great, great, a great gentleman. I wonder if she’s got any relationship to Davy Crockett, the great old Davy Crockett."
The second part of that last part is a bit of nonsense and makes no sense, but the first part of that rant was dead on. Democrats are now headed back to “bad orange man strategy,” which has already failed them twice. If Crockett is their future, I don’t think we have much to worry about.
