We all know that the Democrats jumped on the Epstein files train to try to hurt Trump.
They smelled blood in the water due to outrage by MAGA over the lack of transparency.
It turns out, it did not hurt Trump at all with MAGA. However, there was one small concern.
It is no secret that the Trump campaign and his surrogates had focused on the Epstein files over the last few years, as they were believed to include some very powerful Democrats and donors.
Dan Bongino, who is now the Deputy Director of the FBI, discussed the files during one of his podcasts, discussing a source who had told him that a Secret Service agent on Bill Clinton’s campaign was shocked over what he had seen.
When the announcement was made that the files did not contain a client list, MAGA went nuts after all that buildup.
That led to Trump losing his cool, flipping the narrative to the point he accused Comey and Obama of making up the files.
Trump tried to quell the Democrat and media narrative gaining steam, which was that Trump was blocking the release because his name was in the files.
Eventually, Trump caved, but not all the way. He had instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all relevant Grand Jury testimony.
Trump posted to Truth Social, "Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval."
He continued, "This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!"
Donald Trump’s poll numbers are not like anyone else’s when it comes to determining how popular he is, due to the hatred for him on the left.
The only numbers that really matter for Trump are GOP and independent numbers because we know Democrat voters will never support him. Much to everyone’s surprise, Trump is still holding firm among MAGA voters, even with the Epstein files.
Trump posted, “My Poll Numbers within the Republican Party, and MAGA, have gone up, significantly, since the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax was exposed by the Radical Left Democrats and, just plain ‘troublemakers.’ They have hit 90%, 92%, 93%, and 95%, in various polls, and are all Republican Party records. The General Election numbers are my highest, EVER! People like Strong Borders, and all of the many other things I have done. GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAGA!”
Now, it is not all strawberries and whipped cream for Trump, as he did lose some support on immigration, but overall, I would have to think he is quite pleased with what he is seeing. I can tell you, from my perspective, his numbers are far better than what I thought they would be after the last two weeks.
