Trump declares Biden border disaster over after border patrol encounters hit record lows

President Donald Trump has announced a significant decrease in illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border, highlighting this change as a major achievement of his administration.

Breitbart reported that this announcement comes in light of a sharp reduction in the number of migrants recorded at the border compared to figures during President Joe Biden's term.

In February, the U.S. border patrol registered 8,326 migrants at the Mexico border. According to Trump's statement, this is the lowest number of illegal border crossings in recorded history.

The former president has attributed this decline to his team's policies that emphasized strict border control and curtailed earlier practices under the Biden administration.

Details Of The Historical Decline Revealed

December 2023, under Joe Biden’s administration, saw a staggering 373,883 migrants documented at the U.S. borders.

This figure drastically reduced by the time Trump took office. February’s numbers reveal a massive drop from December's tally of 124,000 migrants while Biden was still in office.

President Trump has been vocal about his administration's ability to halt what he termed a "migrant flood." By reversing the "parole pipeline" and the prevalent catch-and-release approach, Trump's policies aimed to create a more controlled and closed border environment.

In a post on his social media platform, TruthSocial, Trump declared the situation as an "over" invasion of the country. He expressed satisfaction with the policies that have led to fewer attempts of illegal entry into the U.S.

Trump's strategy includes leveraging economic influence to encourage Mexico and Central American nations to cooperate in decreasing migrant flows.

By confronting drug supply issues originating from Mexico and China, Trump's administration also seeks to enhance border security.

The criticism of Alejandro Mayorkas, who headed the border under Biden, has been a recurring theme in Trump's discourse. Mayorkas is regarded by Trump as having facilitated a considerable upsurge in migration by maintaining policies he believes encouraged mass migration into the country.

During Trump's term, approximately 9 million migrants crossed the southern border, backed by policies from elite circles as per his statements. His administration proposes more rigid measures to manage these numbers effectively.

Ongoing Concerns With Legal Immigration Processes

Despite the progress claimed at the physical borders, Trump's administration faces ongoing trials with the influx through airports via the H-1B visa program. This program has been argued to affect young American job seekers adversely.

The approach towards curtailing these legal entries remains under scrutiny as the immigration debate continues. Trump's focus appears to be on ensuring that immigration policies work towards national security and economic stability.

As Trump navigates through the complexities of immigration reform, his emphasis remains on strict policy enforcement and diplomacy to address the multidimensional nature of border security.

With these developments, Trump's administration continues to press on with its agenda of transforming the approach towards border security. This ongoing effort underlines a mix of policy shifts, economic strategies, and enforcement measures.
