Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton secured a legal injunction against the Biden administration that would have slowed the state's economic growth and freedoms.
The Biden administration's "waters of the United States" rule sought to expand water regulation, reaching into states' rights.

“While I continue to battle the rule in court, this preliminary injunction is a major blow to the Biden Administration’s radical environmental agenda,” said Paxton in a statement.
“The unlawful rule would have saddled Texans across the state with crushing new regulations, slowing our state’s economic development and limiting our job growth. Securing an injunction stops the rule from going into effect. This is an important victory protecting the people of Texas from destructive federal overreach," he added.

The lawsuit is one of many legal disputes Paxton has joined against the Biden administration. Another recent action includes joining a multistate effort to make sure that TikTok cooperates in a federal investigation.
"Attorney General Paxton filed a Colorado-led amicus brief in support of Tennessee, which is a part of a multistate coalition investigating TikTok," another press release from the attorney general stated.
"The states’ investigation into the company aims to determine whether the Chinese social media platform has deleteriously affected the mental health of American children and teens," it added.

Paxton is the leader among attorneys general in suing the Biden administration. In addition to the above efforts, he has been involved in a variety of legal challenges ranging from COVID-19 to border security.
The level of government overreach has been unprecedented under President Joe Biden and Democrats in Washington, leading to a widespread response from conservative leaders to oppose the efforts.
“I will always fight to keep Biden’s boots off the necks of Texans!” is the motto of Paxton, standing strong to help Texans in ways that impact the nation.
Paxton's actions have also been part of a larger effort by the attorneys general of conservative states to oppose the Biden agenda, helping to slow the progressive push of the left.
