Over the last 12 months, we have seen two attempts on the life of Donald Trump, Charlie Kirk assassinated, several attempts to breach the White House, and countless other threats against members of Congress and judges. The ante was just upped this week, with a “hit” against Attorney General Pam Bondi being posted on social media.
The suspect has been arrested, but my question is, when does the rhetoric stop?
Democrats have done their best to make every member of the Trump administration appear as a criminal, and I believe this is very purposeful.
When they are not lobbing racist or Nazi accusations, they do this to get their supporters riled up over alleged corruption.
That happened with Bondi during a recent hearing on the Hill, but she came prepared, and she flipped the script on Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), who has just created a spectacle at a Secretary Kristi Noem press conference. After he attacked Bondi, she fired back, “I have answered that question multiple times, yet you didn’t have the courtesy to be sitting in here for the hearing. I’m not going to be answering it."
She continued, “I find it interesting that you want order … in this proceeding now. You sure didn’t have order when you stormed Secretary Noem at a press conference in California, did you?”
I have lost count of how many times the Democrats have called Trump, administration officials, or Republicans Nazis, racists, wannabe Hitlers, and a host of other rhetoric to get people riled up.
Yet, when Speaker Johnson (R-LA) called Democrats “legislative terrorists,” Rep. Jeffries (D-NY) lost it. He stated, “Well, that type of language is reckless, it's irresponsible, and it's going to get someone killed. What do these folks not understand as it relates to the language that they continue to use?
“We should be able to battle it out in the contest of ideas as opposed to trying to use these extreme terms that have been unleashed on the American people from the very beginning of this presidency, and, matter of fact, for a long period of time by the current President and those sycophants who continue to do nothing more than rubber stamp his extreme agenda and hurt the American people.”
I agree… we should be able to debate these things without dangerous rhetoric, and Jeffries can start by telling Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) to stop calling Trump a “wannabe Hitler,” and Governor Tim Walz to stop calling ICE agents “the Gestapo.” And maybe dial down the “fascist” rhetoric against Trump.
I bring all this up because I believe that rhetoric is why all these attempts on people’s lives have taken place, and we can now add one more to the list.
Tyler Maxon Avalos, 29, who, if we are to believe his social media profile, is a self-proclaimed anarchist, has been arrested for allegedly posting a hit against Bondi online.
The post caption: “Wanted: Pam Bondi, Reward: $45,000, Dead or Alive (Preferably Dead).” That was featured over a picture of Bondi with a sniper-scope dot on her head.
All I want is some normalcy back into politics, but I fear that will not happen anytime soon, at least not with Trump in office. His team thrives on these memes and AI videos, making fun of all these crazy things that Democrats call him, which only riles them up more. It was funny at one time, but now it has become exhausting, and I am just getting sick of Democrats having an issue with every little thing Trump does (the ballroom is a perfect example). Can we please get the adults back in the room!
