Liberal celebrities have been at the forefront of nasty antisemitic remarks in the wake of the Hamas-led attack on Israel that resulted in thousands of deaths.
One particularly nasty line of remarks came from actress Susan Sarandon, who must have been desperate for attention as she made outlandish remarks that sparked an immediate firestorm of controversy.
The controversy was so bad that it resulted in a major Hollywood agency dropping her from the payroll, which conveniently triggered an apology from the antisemitic actress.

Her original comments that caused the backlash came at a pro-Palestinian rally, where she diminished the history of antisemitism.
The Examiner noted:
She suggested that following Hamas's attack on Israel, Israelis were "getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim" in the United States. On Friday, she addressed that quote and claimed it was a "mistake" to phrase it that way as she was trying to address her "concern for an increase in hate crimes."
Her impromptu speech at the New York rally reportedly resulted in UTA, the agency representing her since 2014, dropping her.
Sarandon, after getting fired, issued a long "apology" in an Instagram post.

"This phrasing was a terrible mistake, as it implies until recently Jews have been strangers to persecution, when the opposite is true," Sarandon wrote on Instagram.
She added, "As we all know, from centuries of oppression and genocide in Europe, to the Tree of Life shooting in Pittsburgh, PA, Jews have long been familiar with discrimination and religious violence which continues to this day."
"I deeply regret diminishing this reality and hurting people with this comment,” Sarandon continued. “It was my intent to show solidarity in the struggle against bigotry of all kinds, and I am sorry I failed to do so."
Sarandon is one of many celebrities who used the conflict to gain attention, although it's clear that she was not expecting to be held accountable for her hurtful and disgusting words.
Only time will tell if more of her type are held accountable. Putting their jobs on the line is a great start.
