Stephen Colbert Marks Biden’s 82nd Birthday Without Cake, Fires Shots At Nancy Pelosi

In a celebration on his late-night show, Stephen Colbert commemorated President Joe Biden's 82nd birthday with candles but no cake.

On Wednesday, President Biden celebrated his 82nd birthday, an event noted by many across the nation. Colbert, the host of a popular CBS late-night show, took this opportunity to mark the occasion by taking shots at Nancy Pelosi according to The Wrap.

Colbert humorously addressed President Biden directly during his monologue, wishing him a happy birthday. The usual birthday festivities were altered, as Colbert pointed out, due to an intervention from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Biden's cake was "sacrificed" for the "good of Democracy" in a shot at Pelosi who forced Biden to step aside from running for President in July.

Many Democrats are resenting Pelosi for forcing Biden out in light of Vice President Kamala Harris's devastating defeat in the presidential election.

Biden's Birthday Celebration Takes a Comedic Turn

The host used an empty plate with number candles to represent the vetoed cake, visually depicting Pelosi's decision.

“Happy Birthday Joe! We got you a cake, but Nancy Pelosi insisted you sacrifice it for the good of democracy,” Colbert joked, adding a fictional twist to the birthday proceedings that entertained the audience.

Colbert's jokes extended beyond the cake. He humorously claimed that this birthday would be Biden's last in the White House, hinting at the end of his presidential term without specifying the context of his joke.

Adding to the festive humor, Colbert also recounted tales of Biden's supposed antics during previous birthdays, including outrageous activities like skinny dipping in the reflection pool and streaking through the rose garden.

“That’s right, I’m birthday bucket listing, folks! I’m gonna skinny dip in the reflection pool, streak through the rose garden, and then head up to the Lincoln bedroom for Jill’s annual physical! No, it’s my physical, nothing sexy, she just takes my pulse and holds a mirror under my nose. Come on, proof of life! Fog it up!” Colbert continued, expanding on his comedic portrayal of the president’s birthday adventures.

The jokes did not stop at domestic antics; Colbert also poked fun at a recent, unexpected incident involving President Biden.

According to Colbert, Biden had an impromptu adventure in the Amazon rainforest during a trip, when Biden seemingly wandered off into the rainforest in yet another episode of Biden losing focus and wandering, presumably due to his advanced age.

Colbert’s Comedic Take on Political Figures

Such comedic sketches are part of Colbert’s style, where political figures often become part of his monologue, providing light-hearted commentary on serious political matters.

However, Colbert's direct shot at Pelosi illustrates the simmering resentment that many on the left have for Pelosi forcing Biden out of the race. Of course, there is no guarantee that Biden wouldn't have lost as badly as Harris did, but that doesn't matter now.

Harris's humiliating defeat was accompanied by the loss of the Senate and failure to retake the House of Representatives.

Many Democrats feel like some of that would have been different had Pelosi not forced Biden out of the race back in July following a horrific presidential debate.

No doubt, leftists like Colbert will be taking shots at Pelosi for the next four years as former President Donald Trump serves his 2nd term.
