Sources suggest Nathan Wade, Fani Willis were involved prior to Donald Trump indictment

The ongoing drama regarding Fulton County District Attorney's relationship with a top prosecutor on the Donald Trump case took another interesting turn over the weekend.

According to Breitbart, sources told the outlet that prosecutor Nathan Wade "made the decisions to hire or fire" after Willis was elected to office in 2016.

The fact that he had the power to hire and fire personnel in the office raises new ethical and conflict of interest concerns in addition to the revelation that the two were involved in a romantic and financial relationship.

Willis made headlines last week with her bizarre testimony as a judge determines whether or not to remove her from the case against the former president.

What's going on?

The new information, reported over the weekend, further calls into question the accuracy and truthfulness of their testimony regarding the timeline of their affair.

One of the sources reportedly told Breitbart, "Wade is a prosecutor on the Trump case and he selected the office employees."

Breitbart noted:

Wade led a transition team of ten to twelve people who interviewed and evaluated current employees to remain in Willis’ newly won office just weeks after she won the election in November, said the sources, who wished to remain anonymous for fear of retribution due to their direct knowledge of the environment inside the District Attorney’s Office, which they characterized as “corrupt.”

Other sources told Breitbart that Wade was deeply involved in making the decisions on who to keep in the office, and said Wade was "too invested to be just a friend" of Willis'.

The sources who came forward said "There was just something so weird going on," between the two before the case against the former president was announced, meaning, if true, the two were in a relationship before the Trump indictment.

Willis and Wade have claimed in their testimony that they began their romantic relationship after the Trump indictment was handed down, sparking a series of concerning questions, to say the least.

Social media reacts

Users across social media reacted to the new, bombshell information that could mean both Willis and Wade lied throughout their recent testimony.

"There is no doubt in my mind that they are guilty and the real criminals here," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "If they did what they have been accused of they should be removed from the case. I don’t know about disbarment i dont know what the regulations say. The DoD has a table of penalties for violations does the bar have one?"
