Soros-backed district attorney Pamela Price facing recall campaign

Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price is being recalled by the people of Oakland, California, following a steep rise in crime under her watch, the Daily Caller reported. The George Soros-backed district attorney was elected in 2022.

The recall effort is being organized by Save Alameda For Everyone, which began a petition Sunday to get Price removed. SAFE will need to collect an additional 73,000 signatures by March to be successful in the recall.

A special election would be held in June 2024 if they can have Price recalled, and it would not be a moment too soon for the people in her jurisdiction. In recent months, there has been a whopping  382% increase in particular burglary crimes and a 35% increase in armed robberies.

Price took office in January, and so far, her tenure has seen an overall 36% increase in burglaries, which pegs the number at 14,001 in the community. There have been 11,793 auto thefts, which averages out to 40 per day or almost two an hour.

Moreover, violent crime is up 21%, with 6,101 such crimes committed in the Oakland area since the start of 2023 and Price's time as district attorney. Residents are sick of it and are rightly blaming Price.

The problem has caused local businesses to leave town rather than deal with the crime. Resident Brenda Grisham started SAFE to get Price removed from office after seeing the problems her permissive attitude on crime has created.

"The whole administration… I’ve never seen anything like it," Grisham told the Daily Caller. "I’ve been in Oakland my whole life, and I’ve never seen the amount of lack of care for the people in this community like what the administration had," she added.

"I’m gonna advocate for these families. If they need a recall, then I’m going to advocate for a recall," Grisham said.

Last month, Oakland resident Carl Chan rallied local businesses to strike in protest of the rampant crime. "Many of us seniors are afraid to walk down the street, and again, carjackings, businesses are closing, all due to crime," Chan said.

Another Oakland resident, Evelyn Gibbe, signed the petition for the recall because she believes Price's philosophy on solving crime is to blame. "I’ve been seeing and experiencing the crime wave in Oakland, and I do believe that it’s directly related to the D.A. and her policies on restorative justice,” she said.

Price is just one of many leftist prosecutors Soros has helped get elected. The 92-year-old billionaire has poured $40 million nationwide into electing district attorneys, the New York Post reported.

Rather than prosecuting crime, these people are dismantling the idea of law and order and leaving residents stuck with the deadly consequences. One of these that Soros supported is Philadelphia’s Larry Krasner.

With almost $1.5 million in cash from Soros behind him, Krasner has been a disaster for the city's crime rate since taking office in 2018. He dropped 37% of cases involving illegal firearms and 60% of cases involving shootings shortly after his tenure began. Predictably, Krasner made Philadelphia deadlier than even New York City despite the fact that it is one-fifth the size.

There is something seriously wrong with these soft-on-crime district attorneys that Soros backs. Price is just one in a long line of many who seem bent on turning America into a violent, lawless wasteland.
