Slotkin pushes back against Democrats, telling them to get tougher

After Democrats have dug in on pushing their leftist narratives for years, the GOP is finally playing hardball, and they are crushing Democrats, somehow holding the House, then taking back the Senate.

Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-NY) is now calling on the party to get tough, a clear bid to join its leadership in the near future.

Not accepting excuses

Barack Obama’s idea of being tough during the 2024 election was to talk at voters rather than talking to them.

For instance, in one case, Obama was chiding a group of young, black male voters who did not support Kamala Harris, literally race-shaming them.

He had stated, “Now, I also want to say that that seems to be more pronounced with the brothers. When you have a choice that is this clear.

“When, on the one hand, you have somebody who grew up like you, knows you, went to college with you, understands the struggles and pain and joy that comes from those experiences, who's had to work harder and do more and overcome and achieves the second highest office in the land and is putting forward concrete proposals to directly address the things that are vital in our neighborhoods and our communities.”

His fault

After the loss, it was Obama who took a lot of blame for allegedly leading the push to have Joe Biden removed.

One former Biden staffer stated, “There is no singular reason why we lost, but a big reason is because the Obama advisers publicly encouraged Democratic infighting to push Joe Biden out.

“[He] didn’t even want Kamala Harris as the nominee, and then signed up as the saviors of the campaign only to run outdated Obama-era playbooks for a candidate that wasn’t Obama.”

At this point, it seemed clear that Obama was no longer the golden child of the party. Because Senator Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Jeffries (D-NY) were failing at leadership, the party was just craving for someone to step up and take charge.

Enter Slotkin

Slotkin has been a rising star over the last few years, and she may wind up taking over leadership very soon if she keeps challenging current leadership.

To that point, she is now telling the party to toughen up, stating, “And I think this idea that Democrats are so careful, and they’re so caveated, and they’re so worried about offending each other, offending other people, they’re so worried about pissing off people on the Internet. They often live in a world where they constrain themselves.”

She later added, “I think some of them, sure, are too sensitive. And this is, to me, the central point, especially with Donald Trump in the White House, this is just not a moment to be careful and polite. We need a plan. We need to be on the same page. We need to play as a team. We need to call out when someone isn’t helping the team. And we need to hug someone when they do something great.”

I would not say they are too sensitive, just that they act like they have skin that could be cut with a feather, as we know it is all for show. I think the American people have shown that the act has worn thin, and they are no longer buying it. Something, however, tells me that her advice will fall on deaf ears, especially since it is right along the lines with the advice Obama just gave out.
