"It was a great ploy by Governor Abbott to bring attention back to something that was kind of fading away from mainstream media," Boyd said. "He's put it back in their lap, and I applaud him for what he's done."
"The border is wide open," Boyd said. "In Texas, the Border Patrol is encountering over 100,000 illegal aliens. So every month, Border Patrol agents tell me that on a good day, they encounter between eight and 15 percent of the number of people that actually come across."

Earlier this month, Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin traveled to South Texas to show the reality at the border.
"We are witnessing yet another massive group of 300+ crossing illegally into Normandy, TX right now. We have now seen this here three out of the last four days. Almost all single adults. Many of them telling me they are from Cuba, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, etc," he tweeted alongside video of dozens of migrants walking across the border with being stopped.

Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn tweeted what many Americans are thinking on the issue in her words regarding the border.
"No matter what Joe Biden or Kamala Harris says, Americans know that our southern border is NOT secure," she wrote.
The border is clearly wide open, leaving a massive natural security risk for Americans nationwide.
