Seven Delaware Prosecutors Contributed to Democrats During the Hunter Biden Investigation

At least seven prosecutors in the Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office donated to Democrats during the Hunter Biden investigation, raising concerns of partisanship and favoritism.

As scrutiny mounts on Special Counsel David Weiss, who served as U.S. Attorney for Delaware and consented to a favorable plea bargain with Hunter Biden after five years of investigation, a Washington Examiner investigation revealed that at least seven prosecutors in Weiss's office contributed to Democrats, as Breitbart News reported.

The analysis revealed that no prosecutor donated to a Republican candidate. Many within the Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office appear to have close ties to the Bidens, prompting the partisan donations.

According to the Washington Post, Weiss worked for years with Hunter Biden's late older brother, Beau Biden, who was Delaware attorney general at the time:

As the top federal prosecutor in Wilmington, Weiss collaborated with his local equivalent: Beau Biden, who had been elected Delaware attorney general in 2006. Weiss and Beau Biden conducted joint investigations and determined which office had jurisdiction in various cases.

In addition, former vice president Joe Biden's deputy counsel, Alexander Mackler, served as an assistant U.S. attorney for Delaware alongside Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf, who worked on the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden and allegedly influenced the DOJ's investigation into the president's son.

Mackler worked as Beau Biden's campaign manager for Delaware Attorney General during his relationship with Joe Biden. As reported by Breitbart News, Joe Biden subsequently designated Mackler as vice president's deputy counsel from September 2014 to August 2016.

During Mackler's time as United States Attorney for Delaware, he and Hunter Biden were in contact. "Love you brother," he wrote in an email to Hunter Biden in 2018.

The Examiner reported that Daniel Logan, a prosecutor in Weiss's office until 2023, was close with the Biden family before he worked at the Delaware U.S. attorney's office. Before his 2015 death in Maryland, Logan worked for Beau Biden.

Logan's relationship with the Bidens included sending an email of gratitude to Hunter Biden for a donation made in his name by the president's son.

“I can’t begin to tell you how appreciative both Julia and I are for all of the times you and your family have been there for us,” Logan wrote. “You are a good friend and I greatly appreciate it.”

Lesley Wolf, an assistant U.S. attorney, is another individual who worked on the Hunter Biden investigation.

Whistleblowers from the IRS allege that Wolf refused to allow investigators to inquire about Joe Biden's status as "the big guy" and cautioned the investigation team against searching Joe Biden's guest house in Delaware for evidence against Hunter Biden due to "optics."

Due to a Delaware judge's scrutiny, Hunter Biden's plea agreement failed last month. Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Weiss as the case's special counsel shortly thereafter. The prosecution anticipates a trial, which will likely take place in Delaware or California.
