Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott slammed House Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) over his "loser" mentality regarding the future of the party.
Scott shared the concerns in an op-ed for the Washington Examiner criticizing some in his party.
Besides, a lot of the “bad candidate” talk is simply the establishment not liking who was chosen.https://t.co/MCJSiuGdhz@bonchieredstate #EndTheCircularFiringSquad

"Ultimately, though, when you complain and lament that we have 'bad candidates,' what you are really saying is that you have contempt for the voters who chose them," Scott wrote.
"Now we are at the heart of the matter. Much of Washington's chattering class disrespects and secretly (or not so secretly) loathes Republican voters," he added.
Rick Scott just unloading on Mitch McConnell here. And Mitch deserves it. Completely. https://t.co/bjz1rJdFlD pic.twitter.com/lDAyaBSRF3

Scott instead argued the party has great candidates with incredible backgrounds who should be supported instead of mocked. The attitude of some establishment GOP members seems to want losses at the ballot box rather than regain the majority in the House or Senate.
The Florida senator's nasty attack on GOP critics may sound rough, but it's on target in an election cycle that has seen far too much infighting within its own party.
