Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley said on Tuesday that a former FBI agent involved in the Hunter Biden laptop scandal must testify before the Senate.
Tim Thibault is allegedly the FBI employee responsible for shutting down the probe into the laptop in 2020.

"Accordingly, the investigative activity and information could not be advanced as it should've been, which means the FBI could have gathered more evidence with respect to Hunter Biden but cut bait instead. And the FBI and Thibault cut bait right before the 2020 presidential election," Grassley said.
"It also calls into question what the FBI's Baltimore field office is reviewing and whether it's the full scope of evidence," he added.

The FBI has so far not responded to the senator's calls regarding the Hunter Biden laptop issue in any significant manner.
The case could have had a strong impact on the 2020 presidential election and continues to have the potential to sway voters if conservatives can make progress in revealing more about the background of the events.
