Rubio pushes back against Democrats on Russian collusion narrative

What could wind up being the biggest scandal in American political history is being completely ignored by the mainstream media.

The outlets that are reporting on it are twisting the facts, missing the main aspect of what DNI Tulsi Gabbard has found.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio just took some big steps to correct that.

Invented narrative

Gabbard’s bombshell announcement last week should have been front-page headlines around the nation, but the media is allowing Democrats to worm their way out of this.

We know the Russians tried to interfere, as they have done in the past, and they will likely continue to do this in the future.

The issue was that officials within the Obama administration had created the narrative that specifically started the investigation into Donald Trump for collusion.

That is about as close to a political coup as you will ever have in this country, not to mention the election implications. They broke the law… It’s that simple.

Covering their tracks

Two people at the center of this are former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper.

Both have been scrambling to try to justify their actions, but they are continuing to spread lies.

To that point, the pair penned a joint op-ed, claiming the Steele dossier was not used as a source or taken into account for any of its analysis or conclusions,” and only a “summary of the dossier was added as a separate annex only to the most highly classified version of the document.”

That is 100% not true, and we know this because of the Mueller report, the Durham report, and an Inspector General’s report that outlines just how much the agencies leaned on the dossier as well as to secure FISA warrants. They had virtually nothing else other than this document.

Rubio sets record straight

In virtually every statement made by Democrats on the matter, they refer to a bipartisan report headed by then-Sen. Rubio (R-FL) that found no collusion but a definite trail of Russian meddling. But again, this is about the narrative being created, not Russia’s actions.

Rubio stated, "This dossier was a piece of campaign disinformation. It was paid for by political campaigns. It is a huge outrage because it was fake. It was a lie. And they used it to mislead the American public. It cost millions of dollars in investigations, all chasing a hoax.”

He then added, "You had some of the highest-level officials in our intelligence agency in the country taking that fake, ridiculous dossier and using it to influence and inform an official intelligence assessment of what happened in this campaign. The media is either uninterested or too lazy to understand those nuances and that reality."

I would say that it is tunnel vision on the part of the media due to the horrible case of TDS that runs rampant in the mainstream media. Just as we saw with the recent piece in the Daily Beast claiming that Melania Trump was introduced to her husband via Epstein, they take Dems at their word, and they just brush off any allegations made by conservatives and Republicans. Simply put, the majority of mainstream media outlets today are more akin to state-run media than a free and honest press.
