Gov. Ron DeSantis has sent the left into fits after he sent planeloads of migrants to Martha's Vineyard. The Florida Republican promised he's just getting started.
DeSantis has vowed to continue to send illegal immigrants to Democrat-run areas and has the budget to do so, the Washington Examiner reported. Democrats have attempted to smear DeSantis for this practice, but the governor is doubling down.
"The legislature gave me $12 million," DeSantis told reporters Friday. "We're going to spend every penny of that to make sure that we are protecting the people of the state of Florida," he said.
The governor said the money was in the state budget that received the votes from both Democrats and Republicans in the state legislature. His press secretary Christina Pushaw confirmed that fact in a tweet.
"Here are all the Florida house reps and senators who voted for this year's budget, including the funding for transporting illegal migrants out of Florida into sanctuary states," she wrote Thursday with a published list of lawmakers who had signed on to it. "Almost every Dem voted for it. Now they're calling a criminal for following through," Pushaw pointed out.

"We've got an infrastructure in place now; there's going to be a lot more that's happening," DeSantis promised. The governor stated he had "a whole bunch of other places" to transfer more migrants but wasn't specific.
"This way, these sanctuary jurisdictions can put their money where their mouth is," DeSantis said. The governor also made it clear that the migrants were told they were going to Martha's Vineyard and had signed releases after some tried to say they were tricked into it.
Democrats like to tout how their cities and states are sanctuaries for illegal immigrants even as border states like Texas and Arizona take the financial and humanitarian brunt of it. Now that DeSantis and other Republicans are sending migrants to these places, the left is absolutely melting down.
