Rising Hollywood star Chance Perdomo dies in motorcycle accident

Hollywood was shocked this week to learn of the passing of a young, up-and-coming actor. 

According to People, actor Chance Perdomo, star of "Gen V" and "Sabrina," was involved in a motorcycle accident that took his life at the young age of 27.

Representatives for Perdomo and his family confirmed the tragic announcement over the weekend, noting that his death was the "result of a motorcycle accident."

They added in the statement that authorities confirmed "no other individuals were involved" in the fatal accident.

Praised for his personality and talent

Perdomo, known as a rising star in the business, had an "insatiable appetite for life" according to his family's statement.

"His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest," his family's statement said. "We ask to please respect the family's wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother."

The cast of "Gen V," his latest project, released a heartfelt statement regarding his passing.

"Our hearts are with Chance’s loved ones as we grieve this shocking loss, we will remember the special moments we had together, his infectious smile that could light up any room, his warm hugs and the authenticity he carried with him always. Rest in peace dear friend, you will be deeply missed. Love, The ‘Gen V’ Cast," the statement read.

People noted:

Perdomo starred as student Andre Anderson on Prime Video's "Gen V," a college-set spinoff of the superhero satire "The Boys." He was one of the primary characters on the show, which debuted in September and was renewed for a second season.

Tributes pour in

Because of his popularity, talent, and overall personality, Perdomo had a legion of adoring fans, many of whom shared their heartbreak and condolences regarding his passing.

"Sending love and condolences to the Gen V cast during this difficult time. Chance Perdomo will be deeply missed," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Rest in peace to the talented and beautiful Chance Perdomo."

Clearly, his legacy will live on, and his impact on the industry will be felt for the ages.
