An independent run for president by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would help former President Donald Trump and hurt President Joe Biden, according to a new poll.
The Echelon Insights poll showed that Trump's lead would expand under the scenario.

"A preview of the survey shows Trump leading Biden in a head-to-head presidential matchup nationally, 46 percent to 43 percent — a three-point lead. In that scenario, 11 percent remain unsure for whom they would vote," Breitbart News reported.
"However, with Kennedy running as an independent candidate, Trump’s lead over Biden expands by one point, growing to four points — 40 percent to Biden’s 36 percent. Kennedy garners 14 percent support. In that scenario, ten percent remain unsure," it added.
Given the state of our politics which has been captured, the World needs many more independents right now. https://t.co/S0JPsI7xZ0

"Robert F Kennedy Jr is reported to be ending his challenge to Joe Biden for the Democratic presidential nomination and run instead as an independent candidate, in a move that could upset the 2024 race for the White House," the Guardian reported.
"Kennedy, 69 and a scion of a famous political dynasty – a son of the former US attorney general and New York senator Robert F Kennedy, and a nephew of the former president John F Kennedy – will announce his run in Pennsylvania on 9 October," it continued.
If this happens, this would hurt Biden infinitely more than Trump. And given the margin of error in recent presidential elections, it could be a decisive blow to the incumbent: https://t.co/EyN0r2cSRr

"Kennedy’s campaign machine is now planning 'attack ads' against the Democratic National Committee in order to 'pave the way' for his announcement in Philadelphia about running as an independent, according to a text reviewed by Mediaite," the outlet reported.
“Bobby feels that the DNC is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy so an independent run is the only way to go,” a Kennedy campaign insider told Mediaite.
The announcement would be seen as a massive boost to Republicans, whether Trump is the primary winner or another candidate.
Kennedy would certainly take votes away from Biden among more conservative or moderate Democrats, as well as independents and new voters.
Even a difference of 1% could change the outcome of the election, making Kennedy the one who could ultimately help determine the winner of the 2024 election, even if he loses.
