There's already growing buzz that indicates President Joe Biden and his 2024 election campaign are worried sick about third-party candidates, given the likely razor-thin margins he'll face in the general election next year. 

According to Breitbart, they have yet another massive worry with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was running as a Democratic opponent but now plans to switch to an independent candidate, leaving the Dem Party behind.

With Biden struggling badly with independent voters, RFK Jr.'s switch to running as an independent is nothing less than a total nightmare for Biden's camp.

Not only is RFK Jr. exiting the party, he reportedly plans to do it in grand fashion.

Breitbart noted:

Kennedy plans to announce his independent candidacy on October 9 in Pennsylvania, according to a text reviewed by Mediaite. Kennedy’s campaign also plans to launch “attack ads” against the Democrat National Committee (DNC) to “pave the way” for his announcement.

RFK Jr. and his supporters have long argued the the Democratic National Committee was treating him unfairly in his legitimate run for the Democratic nomination next year.

One insider reportedly told Mediaite that RFK Jr. "feels that the DNC is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy, so an independent run is the only way to go."

"I’m going to be in Philadelphia on October 9, to make a major announcement at the very birthplace of our nation," Kennedy said in his video teaser. "I’m not going to tell you right now, exactly what that announcement will be. I can say, though, that if you’ve been waiting to come to one of my public events, this will be the one to come to." 

"So how are we going to win against the established Washington interest? It’s not through playing the game by the corrupt rules that the corrupt powers and the vested interests have rigged to keep us all in their thrall,” Kennedy added.

"Instead, we’re gonna have to rewrite the assumptions and change the habits of American politics."

Kennedy Jr. is unique in the sense that he shares several populist views with former President Donald Trump, and has gained popularity with voters that other Democrat or independent candidates couldn't dream of capturing.

Only time will tell what RFK Jr.'s impact is on the 2024 race, but one can be assured that Biden and his campaign are losing sleep over it.
