Republican Tim Burchett predicts Joe Biden will be impeached

Rep. Tim Burchett, who sits on the House Oversight Committee and House Foreign Affairs Committee, predicted Friday that President Joe Biden will be impeached, the Daily Caller reported. The Tennessee Republican claimed that then-candidate Biden orchestrated the cover-up of the information from son Hunter Biden's laptop.

During the runup to the 2020 presidential election, Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop was found to have a trove of information linking the Biden family to shady foreign deals. However, the public was falsely told it was Russian disinformation.

Now former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morrell testified to the House Judiciary Committee that Joe Biden's campaign officials pulled strings to get the intelligence community behind a false narrative. The letter, signed by more than 50 former intelligence personnel, called the authenticity of the laptop into question.

Moreover, Morrell said Antony Blinken, who was a Biden campaign adviser and current Secretary of State, "triggered" the letter's creation and asked the former CIA deputy director to participate. Burchett has pointed to this fact as "influence peddling by the White House and everyone associated with them."

Fox News's Maria Bartiromo asked the Tennessee Republican whether he expected these facts would certainly trigger an impeachment. "I suspect that, ma’am," Burchett said.

"If this cover-up shows what’s going on, that we all assume is going on, and that the 51 folks were basically lied to and showed false documentation, how can you not? I mean, this is just going on too much," he continued.

"And like I said, the documentation that I’ve seen, I can’t comment on all of it, but what I can comment on is that it is bad and it is getting worse and it is showing illegal monies from Chinese communists flowing into this White House via Hunter Biden and his lawyers," Burchett said. "How could we not impeach Biden if this does, in fact, reach him?"

Morrell also testified that it was clear they were doing this to ensure Biden's victory over former President Donald Trump in the 2020 election. The lawmaker also told the committee that Biden's campaign laid out exactly how the letter should be presented in the media for maximum effectiveness.

"There were two intents," Burchett said. "One intent was to share our concern with the American people that the Russians were playing on this issue; and, two, it was [to] help Vice President Biden."

Burchett is right about the seriousness of this misconduct, but it goes deeper than that. Joe Biden also had the full cooperation of social media as revealed by the Twitter Files, Fox News reported.

Former Twitter executives had testified about their involvement in censoring news about Hunter Biden's laptop that first broke in the New York Post. "In the run-up to the 2020 presidential election, Big Tech and the Swamp colluded to censor reporting about the Biden family’s shady business schemes," House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said earlier this year.

"The U.S. intelligence community and the FBI frequently communicated with Big Tech and advised Twitter executives to question the validity of any Hunter Biden story – before the New York Post ever reported on it," Comer said. "We also know members of Twitter’s top censorship team debated how they could justify limiting the spread of the story," he explained.

"They landed on a policy that even some among them doubted," Comer added. "Americans deserve answers about this attack on the First Amendment and why Big Tech and the Swamp colluded to censor this information about the Biden family selling access for profit. Accountability is coming," Comer said.

There should be a public outcry about the way this story was handled from all angles to make sure Joe Biden's campaign wasn't impacted. Burchett is correct that Joe Biden should face serious consequences, but thus far, he's gotten away with all of it.
