Republican governors planning more migrant shipments like Martha's Vineyard shipment

Leftists are always touting their jurisdictions as welcoming places for illegal immigrants. However, they're increasingly frightened migrants may take them up on that.

Left-leaning enclaves are bracing for buses or planeloads of migrants after Republican governors from states like Texas and Arizona have sent border crossers to sanctuary areas, Breitbart reported. Previously, these heavily Democrat areas advertised themselves as places that take all comers.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey have sent thousands of illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities like Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York City. However, it was the planeload of migrants sent to Martha's Vineyard that seemed to set the left on edge.

Last month, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flew 50 illegal immigrants from the Sunshine State to the island off of Massachusetts. Despite its official stance of welcoming illegal immigrants, officials on Martha's Vineyard were quick to relocate the people from their posh town.

Ever since then, other affluent areas have been on high alert. Police in Nantucket, Massachusetts, an area that voted 72% for President Joe Biden in 2020, braced for a planeload of migrants this week that never materialized.

Instead, the flight they were worried about turned out to be a private plane full of corporate executives. Similarly, Colorado's exclusive ski areas have also been bracing for buses or planes packed with border crossers.

"In Aspen and Vail, maybe, some more high profile places, but — if it does — we need to react quickly like Martha's Vineyard did so that we can do the right thing for these people," one local official said. Heaven forbid Democrat-leaning jurisdictions actually face the consequences of their votes.

Millions of illegal immigrants come to small hamlets along the border that must deal with the influx of people. That was fine for these Democrats until they had to deal with problems in their own neighborhoods that come from a lack of food, housing, and adequate services necessary to care for the illegal immigrants.
