Report: Jasmine Crockett Concealed Investments in Pharma, Energy, and Cannabis

Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is under fire for some eyebrow-raising financial moves that clash with her public persona.

According to a recent report by the Washington Free Beacon, obtained through public records, Crockett, often described as a far-left progressive, failed to disclose stock holdings in at least 25 companies during her 2022 congressional campaign, despite acknowledging these investments in 2021 as a Texas state legislator.

Back in 2021, while serving in the Texas statehouse, Crockett was upfront about owning stakes in major players like Amazon, AstraZeneca, General Motors, ExxonMobil, Ford, and even Aurora Cannabis.

Unveiling hidden financial ties

Fast forward to her arrival in Washington after the 2022 campaign, and those disclosures mysteriously vanished from public view.

What’s more, some of these companies could potentially gain from legislation she’s pushed or actions she’s taken as a lawmaker, raising questions about conflicts of interest.

Adding a twist, her investments in fossil fuel giants like ExxonMobil seem at odds with her image as a green energy advocate—a contradiction that’s hard to ignore.

Cannabis connections raise eyebrows

Beyond stocks, Crockett has deep ties to the cannabis industry, having unsuccessfully attempted to launch marijuana dispensaries in Ohio.

She’s also been a vocal supporter of decriminalizing marijuana, championing bills to that effect in both the Texas statehouse and Congress.

As a defense attorney, she once represented a man accused of murder in a botched marijuana deal, further entwining her with the controversial issue.

Public statements under scrutiny

Crockett hasn’t shied away from bold statements on cannabis reform, writing on social media in 2021, “cannabis reform is a ‘joint effort.’” (Jasmine Crockett, 2021 social media post).

While the pun might elicit a chuckle, the seriousness of her undisclosed investments in cannabis-related companies like Aurora Cannabis casts a shadow over her playful rhetoric.

She also wrote in the same post, “Representatives from both parties have filed some great bills that will reduce penalties for possession and expand the Texas Compassionate Use Program. But don’t forget — our goal is full recreational & medical cannabis.” (Jasmine Crockett, 2021 social media post).

Political criticism and broader context

Her progressive agenda has drawn sharp criticism from figures like former President Donald Trump, who labeled Crockett and other leftist Democrats as “political hacks” in need of a cognitive exam.

While Trump’s jab may carry his signature bluntness, it underscores a broader conservative concern about transparency and accountability among elected officials pushing radical policies.

For many on the right, Crockett’s undisclosed financial dealings and apparent contradictions between her investments and public stances highlight a troubling trend of politicians saying one thing while profiting from another—a hypocrisy that erodes trust in our institutions.
