REPORT: Ice let migrant go after neighbors interrupted raid

Border Czar Tom Homan, President Donald Trump, and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem have repeatedly stated that nothing will get in the way of the mission to deport all illegal immigrants from this country.

Their resolve was reportedly tested last week, and it would appear that the resistance was able to notch a win.

Officers Injured During Protests

The last week or so has been a tough week for law enforcement, as there has been more and more resistance to ICE raids around the country.

Los Angeles has been at the center of the violence, with protests turning violent nearly every day.

For instance, this weekend, at least seven police officers were reportedly injured after getting into altercations with rioters.

There were “No Kings” protests organized around the country. While some did go off without any violence, others only seemed to raise the temperature even higher.

Noem Blames Dems

Last week, Noem blamed Democrats for making these ICE raids harder, but that statement may have only fed the monster that is creating all this resistance around the country in regard to our immigration laws being enforced.

Noem recognized that the Democrat rhetoric is working, but she also stated that ICE will not stop its mission.

She stated, “We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate this city from the socialist and burdensome leadership that this Governor Newsom and this mayor placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into this city.”

She later added their main targets are nefarious actors, adding, “We're going after people that are in worksites, that are trafficking drugs, that are trafficking human beings.”

Move On

While Noem has put on a tough front, one raid was halted when a large group of neighbors surrounded the agents during an arrest, reported the Daily Caller.

It was not made clear if the arrest was halted because the individual in question had the proper papers or because agents were intimidated, which makes this very bad for business. If people think they can intimidate agents by showing up in force, scenes like this will be repeated around the country.

Local Democrat Downey City Councilman Mario Trujillo responded to the raids, stating, “I think this places my community in fear. Instead of providing public safety, we’re creating chaos and fear which will definitely impact the economy of my city.”

Right now, that city is a powder keg that is very close to erupting, to the point that some Republicans are losing their resolve and asking the Trump administration to back off to allow tempers to cool. I disagree... I think if you cave in now, they get their way, and it only gets worse. We knew this would be ugly, but if Trump truly wants to carry out this plan, he cannot stop just because liberals have their backs up.
