Over the last few days, there have been some rather interesting developments regarding finger-pointing for Kamala Harris’ election loss.
Biden offered his two cents, a Harris aide blasted Biden, and now Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is offering her two cents.
Joe Biden finally crawled out from under his rock recently, doing an interview with the BBC and “The View,” clearly looking to protect his legacy and deflect blame away from himself for Harris’ loss in the election.
When Biden was asked about the election loss, he did what Democrats do best… he blamed the American people.
Biden claimed the criticism of Harris was that “a woman couldn’t lead the country and a woman of mixed race,” stating, “They went the sexist route.”
Not once did I hear that criticism, and I am neck deep in this nonsense every day. It is disgusting that Biden is implying the people who did not vote for her are sexist, racist, or both.
In the latest tell-all book about Biden’s presidency, several aides went on the record to point the finger directly at Joe Biden.
David Plouffe, a former top adviser to Obama and current adviser for Harris, argued that “it’s all Biden” as to why they lost the election.
Another Democrat stated, “It was an abomination. He stole an election from the Democratic Party; he stole it from the American people.”
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t the entire Democrat Party support Biden heading into the Trump debate, with numerous members of Congress and administration officials insisting that Biden was “sharp” and doing a great job? Sorry, but I am not buying the “stole” the election narrative.
Now, the new darling of the Democrat Party is offering a different take on the election, saying that Harris’ experience as a prosecutor is what really hurt her.
Rep. Crockett stated, “The very first polling briefing that we had, with a pollster that I trust a lot — he briefed the black caucus, and he said that one of the issues that he was running into with black and brown communities was that she had been a prosecutor … There was definitely some resume stuff that disallowed her from being able to build the type of rapport of trust within these marginalized communities that historically have been targeted.”
Crockett went on to say that she was told to lean into Harris’ prosecutor experience, adding, “And I’m like, ‘Oh hell no.’ I’m like, ‘That is not helpful.’ Right? And so when I did it, I did a bit of a swing on it, right, as a criminal defense attorney. And I explained, like, this is the kind of prosecutor all would have wanted, right? Like, so I built it that way.”
This is all smoke and mirrors for the real reason… people do not like Harris. Don’t believe me? Run her again in 2028 and see what happens.
