Rapper Waka Flocka Flame endorsed former President Donald Trump for president in 2024, he announced Monday on X.
The message to his one million followers on the platform took a clear and controversial stand for the former president.

"The endorsement from Waka Flocka Flame comes as the Biden administration continues to alienate large numbers of black voters — especially in poor, urban areas — by allowing illegal aliens to flood the country and come to their neighborhoods, where they receive taxpayer-funded benefits that are denied to U.S. citizens," Breitbart News reported.
"As Breitbart News reported, a recent poll found that most Chicagoans want an end to the sanctuary city policies that force taxpayers to shoulder the burden of housing, feeding, and providing medical care to illegal aliens who come to the city," it added.

"Shortly after the rapper posted 'TRUMP2024' to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Trump campaign published a graphic which boasted 'ENDORSED BY WAKA FLOCKA FLAME' below two photos of the men edited next to each other," Mediaite reported.
"Make America Great Again Inc.’s 'MAGA War Room' published its own graphic which featured the two men surrounded by a large amount of smoke," it continued.

"Waka Flocka Flame posted his public support of Trump in the wake of a predicted slide in black voters in favor of President Joe Biden," the Daily Caller reported.
"The Biden administration has been criticized for alienating black voters, especially those in poor, heavily populated urban areas. Biden’s popularity has dwindled over his handling of the border crisis which has seen illegal migrants flooding the country," it noted.
The rapper's support adds to growing backing from a variety of new voices after the former president's mugshot from his Georgia indictment went viral.
Trump currently holds a massive lead over GOP contenders and increasingly polls in a near-tie or ahead of Biden in national surveys.
The increased endorsements from new influencers like Waka Flocka Flame could bring even more support to Trump as he continues to build momentum ahead of the 2024 primaries that begin with Iowa in January. If so, Democrats may be in for a rude surprise in the likely rematch between Biden and Trump in just over a year.
