Rapper Danzel Silos, better known as Bigidagoe, dies after being shot in Amsterdam

Police made the discovery on Sunday morning in Amsterdam that Danzel Silos, who was 26 years old and better known by his stage name Bigidagoe of Zone 6, was fatally shot close to Sloterdijk station.

The musician was discovered in critical condition by emergency personnel on Rhoneweg, according to NL Times.

He was brought to a hospital, but he was unable to survive his injuries and passed away while in the care of the hospital.

The Investigation

Police are currently conducting an investigation into the musician's death.

There have been claims that Silos was present at the Rhone Events Center for the "One night in Amsterdam" party that was being held this evening.

At the time when he was leaving the event, he was shot in the upper body. It was about 5:25 in the morning that the police received their initial report of the shooting.

“I tried to do something for him, but his heartbeat was already very weak,” a man at the scene told the newspaper. “Nothing happened at the party, but the atmosphere outside was very tense. Everyone immediately knew that it was Bigidagoe who had been shot.”

Possible Videos

It has been reported that videos that have been shared on social media platforms depict a police officer attempting to revive Silos on the street after a brawl that occurred after the party as security personnel attempted to bring the situation under control.

In addition to that, there is a video that shows blood stains covering the street. Some people on social media have speculated that the shooting occurred as a result of a quarrel that took place at the party between Zone 6 and another group.

Silos had been the target of assassination attempts in the past. In August of 2020, the musician was able to survive a shooting that took place on Vechtstraat in the Rivierenbuurt. A day later, shots were fired at the house where his mother lived.

Another Rapper's Death

Kobus L., a rival rapper, was kidnapped in Amsterdam Zuidoost in September 2022, and Silos was one of nine people suspected of being involved in the kidnapping.

Within the month of December, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) made a request for Silos to be sentenced to four years in jail for his involvement in the kidnapping. He is the primary suspect in the case, and his fellow bandmate, Joël H., who is also known as Joey AK, is the suspect.

Against him, the OM demanded that he serve seven years in prison. On March 8, the court will make a decision about this case.

It has been reported by that members of Zone 6 have been implicated in a number of significant crimes over the course of the past few years.

There is a connection between drug trafficking and a number of important members of the rap formation. There have also been instances of members being involved in violent incidents.
