Proposed trial date for Hunter Biden is after the 2024 election

Hunter Biden's trial is not scheduled to take place until after January 2024, the Daily Caller reports

It appears that this was agreed to by Biden's legal team and President Joe Biden's Department of Justice (DOJ), which is ostensibly prosecuting the president's son on federal gun charges.

Biden has already plead not guilty to the charges.

The latest court filing reads:

The parties in the above-captioned case have conferred, and respectfully submit the following proposed modified briefing schedule for all pretrial motions. Under the revised schedule, “: (a) the defendant’s pretrial motions to be filed by December 11, 2023; (b) the government’s oppositions/responses to be filed by January 16, 2024; and (c) the defendant’s replies to be filed by January 30, 2024. The government has consented to this briefing schedule.

There is no guarantee that this is the way things will play out. This is because the judge overseeing the case - Judge Maryellen Noreika - will have to approve of this agreement. At the time of this writing, it is unclear whether Noreika will do so.

One cannot help but notice, however, that, according to the above agreement, Hunter Biden's trial would not take place until after the 2024 presidential election - the same election in which his father is currently the leading Democratic candidate. This is particularly convenient for President Biden.

This trial date, in itself, is troubling because one never knows what may come out during the trial. It could perhaps even be something regarding President Biden that is relevant for the 2024 voter.

But, the proposed trial date is troubling for another reason, namely, that Biden's DOJ along with the Fulton County and Manhattan District Attorneys are all pushing to have former President Donald Trump's trials take place before the 2024 presidential election.

Trump, of course, is the clear leading candidate for the Republicans.

He argues that the various criminal trials that have been brought against him are designed to interfere with his 2024 election, and Trump further argues that the dates set for his trials are further proof of this.

This is because Trump's trials are scheduled to take place not only before the 2024 presidential election but during the 2024 primary season.

CBS News outlines the trial dates and where they fall on the 2024 election calendar. Take a look for yourself here.

The disparity in the way the DOJ is treating Hunter and Joe Biden versus the way it is treating Trump is glaring.

At this point, it is obvious that the DOJ is doing what it can to ensure that Biden gets reelected in 2024 and that Trump does not.
