With the rise of Zohran Mamdani, Democrats currently in office have a big decision to make.
Do they align with these socialists, whose ideology goes directly against our Constitution, or do they turn away and risk losing the far left?
Several Democrat governors are making that call, and some pretty big names in the party appear to be backing off from supporting Mamdani.
Mamdani immediately came out and stated that billionaires have no place in his world, which is rather ironic.
While his family is not millionaires, Mamdani comes from big money, but I guess since they already have theirs, he wants to keep them elite and block everyone else.
He stated, “I don’t think that we should have billionaires because, frankly, it is so much money in a moment of such inequality, and ultimately, what we need more of is equality across our city and across our state and across our country.
“And I look forward to working with everyone, including billionaires, to make a city that is fair for all of them.”
New York Governor Kathy Hochul seems to be distancing herself from Mamdani, although she is doing it in a way to give her some wiggle room come election day.
When asked about his policies, Hochul responded, “We still have many differences. I don’t know how you whitewash that away.”
When pressed further, she added, “He can agree with me and many people agree with me and I think it’s not just Democrats who say, ‘New Yorkers stand up for our rights.’ We do that.”
That was not a hard “no,” but it was pretty close.
Next up is Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, whose family started the Hyatt hotel chain and has a net worth of about $3.6 billion.
Well, JB doesn’t like people messing with his money, so he responded, “Look, how much money you have doesn’t determine what your values are.
“It does not matter what your income level is. What matters is what your values are. And that’s what makes me a Democrat.”
They are both being coy, but the fact of the matter is that if Mamdani wins his election in November, there is going to be a clear line drawn in the party, and establishment Democrats are either going to go to war in their party or allow it to be taken over by what amounts to be a communist mindset in how to run our government. I honestly cannot wait to see how this all plays out.
