President Biden stopped from taking questions by army of handlers

Not that it's any surprise that President Joe Biden is being controlled by his handlers every time he's in public, but an extraordinary scene unfolded this week at a campaign stop.

According to Fox News, the moment Biden suggested he would take a few questions, an army of handlers immediately pushed the attending press back to their vehicles in what appeared to be a desperate attempt to keep the elderly president from talking.

The scene, uploaded to social media, immediately went viral and added more speculation that Biden is nowhere near in control.

Biden often makes a fool of himself or says things he shouldn't when he freelances questions that aren't pre-approved by pre-selected reporters.

What happened?

The scene unfolded at a campaign event in Saginaw, Michigan -- a swing state Biden desperately needs to win in order to secure a path to winning the Electoral College in November.

Part of his trip on Saginaw Thursday was a visit to a 131-year-old Victorian mansion owned by members of the Saginaw City Council and Saginaw Public Schools Board of Education.

At one point, while standing on the back porch of the mansion with a gaggle of press and some White House staffers, Biden said "Can I take a couple of questions?"

One woman sporting a "Biden-Harris" jacket immediately says, "We're going to take a few questions," right before that idea was instantly shut down by his White House handlers. They swooped in, fast.

Biden's staffers put their arms up as if they were attempting to herd cattle, shouting "Thank you, press, back to the cars."

Social media explodes

Social media users reacted to the video footage of Biden's handlers scared to death of the president taking questions. The comments were exactly what you'd expect after such a scene.

"Just proves that Biden isn't in charge. No underling should be able to control the POTUS speech like his do," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Resident Biden asks politely if he can talk to the press and his junior staff handlers tell him no. Who is in charge?"

"Why is the President of the United States asking others if he can take questions? Is he not capable of deciding this as the most powerful man in the world?
@pdoocy question," another X user wrote.
