When Trump was on the campaign trail, he never hid his immigration agenda, and some would argue it was how he won the election.
Now that he is in office and carrying out his plan, Democrats have literally called Trump Hitler, but their plan to have people push back is not yet working, as the majority are still in favor of his immigration plan.
After Trump won the election, with immigration being a major part of his agenda, Trump proclaimed, "I will launch the largest deportation program in American history."
From that moment, the leftists went on the attack to counter that message.
For instance, Jose Osorio, an immigration attorney, stated, "Mass deportation will be devastating to the economy, this country, to families. One of the plans is job site raids. If it gets to that point, people will be caught up in the system. How will they know who's an immigrant and who is not?"
Advocacy groups also tried to hit Americans with the bill, saying this plan would likely cost about $300 billion to carry out, yet they conveniently left out how much money taxpayers spend every year on benefits and care of illegals.
About a month before Trump took office, his incoming border czar, Tom Homan, announced that Chicago was going to be ground zero for deportations.
He stated, "All that starts January 21, and we're going to start right here in Chicago, Illinois.”
Chicago GOP Chairman Chuck Hernandez was more than happy to have his city serve as the epicenter of the plan, stating, "I love it. I love it. Bring it. People need to know that this is a country with laws, and we're going to have order.”
I have made my position very clear on this from the outset. If they came to this country illegally, and I don’t care when, they need to be removed and never permitted to enter this country again. I have had some exceptions, such as those who self-deport being able to come back legally. I have also offered a “tax” for those currently living and working here who have no history of criminal activity, but I firmly believe they should NEVER be given an opportunity for citizenship since they came here illegally.
Now, I want to make my last point clear that I am offering that “tax” solution as a way to get this issue settled and off the books because it is destroying this country, literally, as we speak. That could be a concession to get Democrats on board. My preference, however, would be to remove and ban them all, but I am willing to deal on this if it put this all to bed.
Meanwhile, even with all this chaos and Democrats calling Trump Hitler and ICE the Gestapo, Trump still has the nation’s support on this issue.
The latest NBC News poll showed that Trump has a 51% approval rating on immigration. His numbers are down, but he is still above water, even with the relentless attacks by Democrats.
I will never back down from my support of this administration on immigration, as it was a top issue solely due to the trickle-down effect it has on our economy. Remove them... every single one of them.
