Today’s Democrat Party seems to be about never taking accountability for one’s actions.
Case in point, the recent death of a man running from immigration authorities.
According to Senator Padilla, that man’s death is on Trump and his policies, but he is refusing to look at the root of the problem.
It has become quite clear that the new talking point of the Democrat Party is that the BBB will kill people.
I heard several Democrats go down this route during media appearances, and it was clear that the word was getting out.
Then, during House Minority Leader Jeffries’ (D-N.Y.) 8-hour snoozefest before the bill hit the floor, he also floated the idea that the BBB would put the welfare of Americans at risk.
Now, after someone has died during an ICE raid, they are kicking that into high gear.
After the Texas floods, the Democrats and media pounced on their favorite new talking point.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) took no time at all to call out Noem over the deaths in Texas, citing reports of a slowed response over some of her new policies.
He wrote, "As a former Emergency Management Director of Florida, I am alarmed by reports that the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) response to the Texas floods was delayed and hampered by a new Department of Homeland Security (DHS) 'cost-control' policy imposed by Secretary Kristi Noem.”
He concluded, "If accurate, this represents a major deviation from long-standing FEMA protocol that may have slowed down lifesaving efforts and contributed to the tragedy's severity."
Next up is Senator Padilla (R-CA), who is now blaming the death of a farm worker who fell from a roof while trying to escape from ICE during a raid in Ventura, CA, on the Trump administration.
Padilla stated, “If all they’re doing is going after violent criminals, that’d be one thing but because of these artificial quotas established by whether it’s Donald Trump or Stephen Miller or somebody in the administration, it’s causing ice to get more aggressive, more cruel, more extreme and these are the results. It’s people dying because of fear and terror caused by this administration.”
This may sound a bit heartless, but if you entered the country legally, you would have no reason to run. That individual made a decision to flee, just as any other criminal would when being chased by the police.
This death is not on the Trump administration. If anyone is to blame, it is the Biden administration for allowing millions of illegals to cross over the last four years, making it necessary to remove them now. Is it sad? Absolutely, but that does not change the actual facts of the case and the immigration situation in this country.
